In one breath

T2 Lotto is TurnTwo's first iOS app: a native companion for people who already play the lottery, built to help them play the smartest possible way — know when a game is actually worth it, never miss a win, and avoid splitting a jackpot. It grew out of the web Lotto Lab and took its logic native.

The honesty of the lab stays, but the frame flips: the lab points a rational reader at the exit ("don't play"), and someone who doesn't play doesn't need a companion. The app reframes around the people who play anyway.

01

What it is

The habit

A daily habit built on a Daily Brief, plus two ideas that make it different. The diagram above walks the machine — this is the plain-language version.

02

Why it's built this way

The reasoning

Not just what the app is, but the principle it rewards.

The load-bearing principle · gamify discipline, not volume
The score rewards skipping, checking, and logging — never playing more.
Every gambling app nudges you to play. This one refuses to, and builds its whole reward loop around the opposite behavior. That inversion is the entire product.
03

How it actually works

The mechanism

A real native app, not a web wrapper — which is what makes the craft possible.

A
Native, on purpose
Draw-night countdowns, voice queries for tonight's verdict, and a privacy lock are all things native does well and a web wrapper does not.
04

What's missing — and how it gets better

The honest gap log

The candid part — where the app is still early.

The engine is Texas-first, like the lab it grew from. More states widen who the companion is for.

About this entry

This wiki documents its own construction. Here is the what, why, and how of the entry you just read — the same treatment we give every subject.

What this is

An instrumented entry, not a page. Every subject opens with a live vitals readout and a diagram of the whole machine, then four sections — what, why, how, and the honest gap log — each expandable from a skim to the full reasoning.

This is the public exhibit. The unredacted cockpit is a separate, sign-in-only surface that never ships a byte to this one.

Why it works this way

Depth is the reader’s choice.A skim gives the gist in a minute; “Go deeper” adds the decisions, the mechanism, the open threads.

Default-deny keeps it safe.Anything sensitive never enters this build — you see where the trail stops, never what’s behind it.

How it stays true

It maintains itself. A librarian process reads the live sources on a schedule, updates the brain, and republishes — so vitals reflect the system as it is.

The graph is earned. Connections come from real cross-references between subjects, not a hand-drawn diagram that drifts.
