SetWhen

Consumer event coordination for families and friend groups — anonymous magic-link RSVP is the hook.

SetWhen is live at setwhen.com. One person proposes an event with a few date-and-time options, everyone votes, the winning time locks, and the conversation, schedule, photos, receipts, and gift money all live on one event page. It's built for the moments that span more than one household — a family reunion, a kids' birthday across two friend groups, a road trip, a baby shower, a weekly poker night. It runs on the TurnTwo shared backbone.

Who it's for

Families coordinating across households, friend groups planning trips, neighbors and block parties, sports teams and recurring meetups, and one-time life events where the guest list spans unrelated circles and most guests will never join the app.

What makes it different

  • Anonymous RSVP via magic link — guests vote from an email or text link without ever creating an account. This is the single biggest reason families adopt it: elders, distant cousins, and plus-ones all participate without friction.
  • Open events with no group required — for a one-time occasion, the organizer shares one link and anyone can RSVP.
  • Schedule conflict detection — voters see their own conflicts right on the voting panel.
  • All-in-one event surface — voting, chat, polls, photos, contributions, gift pools, expense splitting, potluck lists, carpools, and waitlists on one page, instead of scattered across a half-dozen apps.

Revenue, three streams

  • SetWhen Plus — $6.99/mo — unlimited groups, calendar write-back, weather on event pages, smart reminders, push notifications, carpool offers, waitlists and capacity caps, custom RSVP questions, recurring series, event cloning, a weekly digest, white-label share links, and data export.
  • A higher tier — $11.99/mo — everything in Plus plus monthly credits for smart scheduling, a description enhancer, receipt capture, a day-by-day trip-planner itinerary, and an auto-generated event recap after the event.
  • Platform fee — 2% on money collected through event contributions and gift pools.
