In one breath

Lens is TurnTwo's business evaluation and modernization platform. The free website audit is the way in: enter a URL and get a scored snapshot of where a business stands online. The paid Business Modernization Assessment is the deliverable underneath — a guided, multi-chapter diagnostic that ends in a plan you can act on.

It exists to turn "show me what's wrong" into a scoped piece of work. The audit shows the gaps; the assessment turns them into a map.

01

What it is

The pieces

Three pieces, stacked from free to paid. The diagram above walks the whole flow — this is the plain-language version.

02

Why it's built this way

The reasoning

Not just what Lens is, but the decision it turns on.

The load-bearing principle · sell the outcome
Lens is the diagnostic funnel into the consulting work.
A free audit is a low-stakes way to say yes. It surfaces real gaps, which turns a vague "our site feels dated" into a specific, scoped engagement — the outcome, not a tool subscription.
03

How it actually works

The mechanism

The mechanism, told the way a public exhibit is allowed to tell it. The scoring itself is a competitive edge, so it stays behind a seam.

A
Scan
The free audit checks a site across several dimensions — speed, mobile, findability, trust, and the tools a business already runs — and rolls them into one score.
04

What's missing — and how it gets better

The honest gap log

The candid part — what Lens can't do yet, stated plainly.

Benchmark against your industry
A score is more useful next to peers. Industry benchmarking would turn "72" into "72, better than most of your field."

Self-serve without a call
Some prospects want the full assessment without a discovery conversation first. A guided self-serve path would meet them there.

About this entry

This wiki documents its own construction. Here is the what, why, and how of the entry you just read — the same treatment we give every subject.

What this is

An instrumented entry, not a page. Every subject opens with a live vitals readout and a diagram of the whole machine, then four sections — what, why, how, and the honest gap log — each expandable from a skim to the full reasoning.

This is the public exhibit. The unredacted cockpit is a separate, sign-in-only surface that never ships a byte to this one.

Why it works this way

Depth is the reader’s choice.A skim gives the gist in a minute; “Go deeper” adds the decisions, the mechanism, the open threads.

Default-deny keeps it safe.Anything sensitive never enters this build — you see where the trail stops, never what’s behind it.

How it stays true

It maintains itself. A librarian process reads the live sources on a schedule, updates the brain, and republishes — so vitals reflect the system as it is.

The graph is earned. Connections come from real cross-references between subjects, not a hand-drawn diagram that drifts.
